Ningbo airport handled 562,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips and 4,882 inbound and outbound flights in the first seven months of 2026, reflecting the city's growing connectivity with global markets.

Business jet flights increased 32.5 percent year-on-year, while cargo flights rose 6.8 percent. The airport currently operates 23 international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan routes, including 15 passenger and eight cargo routes linking Ningbo with Europe, North America, East Asia and Southeast Asia.

New services have further expanded the network. The Ningbo-Manado passenger route was launched, while flights to Kaohsiung resumed after a six-year hiatus. The number of foreign passengers traveling to Ningbo via the Ningbo-Budapest route for business, tourism, or transit grew 16.1 percent year-on-year in the first half of the year, reaching a record high.

Cargo connectivity has expanded as well, with new routes to Liege, New York, and Dhaka creating international logistics links across Europe, North America, and Asia. An air-land intermodal transport network connecting Ningbo with 19 major domestic airports also supports efficient multimodal transportation.

Meanwhile, flexible 24/7 border inspection services have helped speed up the movement of fresh produce, precision electromechanical products, and cross-border e-commerce express shipments, saving businesses more than 700 hours in clearance time and reducing logistics costs by tens of millions of yuan.
