Ningbo-Colombo dialogue highlights shared maritime heritage

The "Encounter & Enlighten" Ningbo-Colombo Dialogue was held in Colombo on July 4, bringing together representatives from both cities to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

A highlight of the event was the Sailing Together: Ningbo Meets Colombo exhibition, which attracted Sri Lankan government officials and business leaders, including Colombo Mayor Vraie Cally Balthazaar.

After touring the exhibition, the mayor said it vividly showcased the historical ties between the two port cities and reflected their shared values. She also praised Ningbo and China's technological innovation, noting the strong potential for future cooperation between the two cities and the two countries, whose friendship spans centuries.
