Fiscal revenue up 4 percent in first five months of 2026

China's general public budget revenue reached 10.05 trillion yuan ($1.48 trillion) in the first five months, up 4 percent year-on-year, the Ministry of Finance said on June 22.

The tax revenue totaled 8.26 trillion yuan, increasing 4.4 percent year-on-year, while non-tax revenue stood at 1.78 trillion yuan, up 2.2 percent year-on-year.

Central government's general public budget revenue reached 4.39 trillion yuan, up 5.7 percent year-on-year, while local general public budget revenue came in at 5.66 trillion yuan, increasing 2.7 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, stamp tax totaled 242.6 billion yuan in the first five months, up 35.8 percent year-on-year, with securities transaction stamp tax standing at 126.20 billion yuan, rising by 88.8 percent year-on-year.
