10th Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum to be held in Ningbo
The 10th Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum will take place in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, from May 26 to 28. This year's forum will feature 35 events, making it the largest edition since its launch in 2015.
Over the past decade, the forum has evolved into a key international platform for exchange and cooperation in the global port and shipping industry. It has attracted more than 10,000 participants from over 80 countries and regions across six continents.
Key outcomes from previous editions, including the Ningbo Initiative released in 2019 and the Vision and Action for Maritime Silk Road Port International Cooperation released in 2023, were included in the outcomes lists of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
This year's forum will feature an opening ceremony, two major conferences, and multiple parallel activities, including thematic forums, closed-door discussions, and trade exchange events.
Senior representatives from international organizations including the International Maritime Organization and the International Association of Ports and Harbors are expected to attend, alongside officials and industry leaders from major ports and shipping companies worldwide.
During the forum, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port will sign green shipping corridor cooperation agreements with ports including Port of Valencia. The Chinese version of the BIMCO GENCON 2022 charter contract will also be released for the first time, while an Arctic shipping route launch ceremony will be held.
