The 139th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, opened in Guangzhou on April 15 and will run through May 5 in three phases.
This year's event is the largest yet, with an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, over 75,000 booths, and more than 32,000 participating enterprises.
Enterprises from Ningbo are out in force, with over 2,400 company participations attending, setting up more than 4,500 booths — over 6 percent of the total. The Ningbo delegation is expected to comprise more than 20,000 participant visits.
Often regarded as a barometer of China's foreign trade, the Canton Fair remains a vital platform for Ningbo businesses to connect with global markets. Companies are showcasing a wide range of new products and innovations.
For instance, Yueli Group has launched more than 20 newly designed items, spanning haircare, grooming, oral care, and garment care, with live demonstrations planned to engage buyers.
Meanwhile, Ningbo Shilin Group is presenting over 100 products, including a newly introduced smoothie maker targeting young consumers seeking at-home beverage options.
Despite global economic uncertainties, Ningbo firms remain enthusiastic. Many, such as Ningbo Xindajie Electric Appliance, have even expanded production capacity in advance, preparing to host international clients after the fair and further deepen trade cooperation.
