Ningbo has captivated international buyers with a vibrant showcase of Chinese New Year culture at Magic Las Vegas, blending traditional crafts with modern creativity.
From Feb 17 to 19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Ningbo exhibitors displayed shadow puppetry horses, intricate paper-cut designs, and playful horse engravings alongside scenic depictions of Ningbo. Visitors were invited to stamp designs on scrolls, experiencing the artistry and symbolism behind each piece. Many remarked on Ningbo's appeal and noted that as business partners and through goods shipped via Ningbo's port, they looked forward to continued collaboration and mutual success in the new year.
Pakistani exhibitor Adil Afzal said that seeing the Year of the Horse-themed elements at the exhibition strengthened his appreciation for Chinese culture and made him want to visit Ningbo in person.
Coinciding with the Chinese New Year, the show included live lion dances and festive performances. Ningbo exhibitors used the opportunity to introduce international buyers to traditional crafts — from handwoven fans to city-themed puzzles — highlighting the city's cultural richness while reinforcing global business connections.
