Ningbo's Xiangshan Bay Mountain-to-Sea Adventure Zone has been selected as one of China's first national high-quality outdoor sports destinations, marking a major step forward for the city's outdoor recreation and coastal tourism.
The core area spans 23 townships across Ninghai and Xiangshan counties, with a total land area of about 2,022 square kilometers. Built around a mountains-to-sea theme, the destination leverages the region's rich natural landscapes to create a diverse outdoor sports network.
Its layout features three main zones: Lianghuang Mountain for trail running and mountain endurance sports, Damu Bay for sailing and water-based competitions, and Shipu Port for sea fishing combined with local maritime culture.
Visitors can explore five signature routes, each offering a unique outdoor experience. These include high-adrenaline mountain and sea adventures, seasonal ice and snow activities, dynamic trail-based challenges, visually immersive landscapes inspired by films and photographs, and recreational fishing paired with coastal cultural experiences.
Together, these routes cover a wide range of activities such as mountain running, sailing, and sea fishing, catering to participants of all ages and providing year-round opportunities for outdoor sports.
