Zhou Qi from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province has recently set a new Guinness World Record for the most jumps in one minute.
With an impressive score of 374 skips, Zhou, aged 16, surpassed the previous record set by a Japanese jump rope athlete, which had stood for a decade.
Last year, Zhou won the championship title in the 30-second single-rope category with a score of 210 jumps at a provincial contest for primary and middle school students.
In addition, he also achieved a remarkable feat in the 3-minute single-rope competition by surpassing 1,000 jumps and claiming another championship title.
"For a long time, I've had the desire to beat a world record, but the heavy workload in junior high school made it difficult for me to prioritize training plans. Finally, this year, I managed to fulfill my dream," Zhou Qi humbly shared.
